DERRICK
Derrick, anointed songwriter, preacher and playwright, and author of Answering the Call of Faith which is scheduled for release this year. Derrick is responsible for the lyrical arrangement of most of the group’s music. This Bio was taken from derrickblue.com
A Man Of God
Derrick Gerard Blue is a young man with passion, purpose and integrity. On his way to a seemingly hopeful career in hip hop, living a life of despair that included drugs and alcohol Derrick was saved in 1999. Derrick's only wish was to live the life, serve the Lord in the local church and tell others what God had done for him. Derrick then became a member of the Church of God By Faith, and sat under the teaching of his father Elder Emanuiel Roberts, Pastor of HolyGhost HeadQuarters COGBF in Crescent City, Florida, where he recieved training in evangelism, prisons, nursing homes, street corner ministry and anywhere the Gospel needed to be heard. During this time the Lord formed God's Examples a Gospel Group consisting of his father, brothers and close family friends.
In 2001 the Derrick accepted the call of the Lord into ministry. Unsure of himself ;he questioned God like Gideon and asked for signs, and the Lord gave him what he asked for by speaking to him in an audible voice, the voice that drives him today. God has since confirmed his ministry in many ways through divine healing through the laying on of hands,souls being saved and delivered through his preaching ministry.
A Family Man
In 2002 he found his soul mate Melanie, they married and now have 2 children. The Lord has blessed this union and she is the number one supporter of this ministry and it's efforts. Through intercession and encouragement she undergirds her man of God and protects the breathe that the Lord has breathed into him. Derrick is devoted to his family and holds firm to what God says about the make up of and priority of the family.
A Man of Vision
Since this time the Lord has begun developing in him many gifts to benefit the body of Christ. Always being a gifted writer, the Lord manifested the purpose for the gift. Answering the Call of Faith is Derrick's first book of many and gives personal revelation to the readers that will help build stronger relationships with the Lord and illumuminate the readers' Faith in God.. Also writing sevaral stage plays, CrossRoad, Home land Security, Guess Who's Coming to Church to name a few. Derrick also , through the inspiration of God developed a coalition of Local Pastors and Christian Leaders that would provide training and support to them in areas of ministry.
A Business Man
Out of the Blue Business Development is the launching pad for Derrick's endeavors in the market place. The purpose of this businessdevelopment firm is to provide resources to small businesses and start-ups. Derrick having a wealth of experience worked for a multi-million dollar company and sat under the leadership of Denver, Colorado's largest real estate mogul. Derrick is more than qualified to instruct and enlighten euntrepenuers
A Man
Please keep Derrick in Prayer that he will continue to do the will of God. The enemy has launched an all out attack on righteous and anything productive for the Kingdom of God. No matter how gifted or annointed a man or woman is they need prayer.
