Taurean's Bio
Taurean Wilson, Keyboardist/Organist, most noted for accompaniment and fills: brass, strings, organ, synth…, but also incorporates grooves and licks to the original sound of this group's musical arsenol.
Taurean Wilson, BKA Bay-Bay, is the youngest of four. He is the aux. Keyboardist for the group. He began playing the organ around the age of fourteen. After every service, despite the callous criticism, he would get on the organ and “peck” on the keys. The pastor, Elder Dennis Tompkins, took note of Taurean’s adamancy: he prayed, anointed his hand, and also instructed Taurean’s mother to anoint his hands every night. After a few years of being under Jay’s tutelage, he has become a skilled musician. Taurean eventually took on the position of Minister of Music for Johnson Temple COGIC.
Taurean Wilson gave his life to the Lord in 1999. Not to long after turning his life over he suffered a horrific tragedy. He lost his brother due to complication from a motor vehicle accident. During this time Taurean faced many obstacles, trials, and tribulations. However, prayer has carried him through. Taurean now feels that those obstacles that he had to climb through have made him a stronger individual.
Taurean Wilson not only serves in the capacity of Minster of Music but also serves as the Youth Department President for Johnson Temple COGIC. Taurean Wilson adopts the concept that the survival of the church is in total dependency of the youth department.
